Public access

Provo Intermodal Center is the southern terminus of UTA FrontRunner commuter rail. The platform is fully public access. UP's Provo Sub mainline (the route over Soldier Summit) runs adjacent, with freight traffic visible alongside passenger ops.

Station platform is public access. Yellow-line rules apply. UP mainline adjacent is railroad property — stay on the FrontRunner side of the fence.

Parking

Free park-and-ride lot at the station. Generally has ample capacity except peak commuter hours.

Best time of day

FrontRunner south-bound terminations and northbound originations create predictable activity at scheduled times. The line runs ~30-minute headways peak; check UTA schedule for exact times.

Train frequency

Moderate to high — FrontRunner runs frequent service Monday-Saturday (no Sunday service as of last verification). UP freight on adjacent track varies; the Provo Sub is moderately busy.
